About PCGh

Project Classroom GH is a vision borne out of the work and vision of  Lead for Ghana a subsidiary of Teach for All. It seeks to address educational inequity and close the wide achievement gap between schools in well-served and underserved towns and communities in Ghana at the classroom level.  We want to develop lifelong skills like counting, analytics, systematicity, inquisitiveness, open-mindedness, truth-seeking and self-confidence in our students even at the basic level. Students even at the University level lack some of these critical thinking dispositions because lessons are not designed to develop these skill sets.

Why are they not being designed to develop these skill sets? Because most classrooms lack the know-how and the necessary curriculum-based teaching and learning materials(CBTLMs) to make it happen.

Fortunately, Lead for Ghana is addressing the part of the know-how by training top graduates from our various universities in Ghana and putting them in the classroom in underserved schools in Ghana. Currently, they place these teachers in the Volta and Northern regions of Ghana. What Project Classroom seeks to do is to address the CBTLMs part.
